Lowndes Grove is an amazing luxury venue choice for your Charleston wedding.  Built in 1786 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Georgian style venue is on the waterfront of the Ashley River.  It has been featured in films and television series such as the Netflix show “Outer Banks.”

For a Lowndes Grove wedding, there are multiple options for your ceremony location.  One option is in front of the main house.  Some choose in front of the pier or elsewhere in front of the river.  The River House is also a good choice for your cocktail hour.  Many couples choose to have their reception in the large clear tent with views of the pier and river. 

With your wedding at Lowndes Grove, there are multiple locations around the venue for your wedding day portraits.  The front of the house, river and pier are must haves.  Other amazing options are the tree lined driveway, oak trees around the property, the black and white room, and the beautiful spiral staircase.
