I met Emma and Brandon at the top of a hike with some photographer friends in Oahu, Hawaii. Brandon had just proposed to Emma, and she said yes! My friends and I connected with them and planned to do an engagement session later that week. It was great to do the session so quickly after the proposal and capture their excitement!
We chose to do their session at sunrise, when the popular Sharks Cove Beach would be empty. The sky was a lovely pink at the beginning of the session, with gorgeous blue skies after the sun came up. As usual, the Hawaii landscape did not disappoint.
After getting some great shots at the Sharks Cove, we headed to Kawela Bay Beach Park for a change of scenery. We started with the famous large banyan tree in the park. Movies like the Hunger Games, as well as tv shows like Lost, have featured this area of the island. An unexpected Hawaii rain shower cut our session short, but there are plenty of great moments between Emma and Brandon.
If you are looking for a Hawaii wedding or elopement photographer, I’d love to hear from you! I visit the islands regularly and always love an excuse to visit again!
